David Oyedepo, A Pastor and a Sack Letter

A few days ago I sat down with a brother and for a few hours we reasoned into a theological point of view. At some point the discussion bordered on 1 John 4:1ff, part of which reads as follows: 1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” The phrase “try the spirit” in KJV reads “test the spirit” in modern translations. I argued that “test the spirit” could not only mean merely comparing the words of a so called man of God with the Bible; I said it more likely meant a holistic examination of the life of the bearer of a message.
So when a man comes forth making high sounding claims about God, we do not only examine his words – we also go to his home, we look at how he treats his wife and children. We examine his relationship with his subordinates. We look closely at how he responds to pressure: does he return insult for insult; does he curse easily; is he apt to teach; and does he display general godliness, such that those who do not know what he claims can readily say this is a man of God. Then I made this point: the high point of Christ’s ministry was living with his disciples. By observing Christ up, close and personal, the twelve concluded that this man was a prophet from God. In fact Judas’ betrayal was doubly sinful because it will require a genuinely satanic mind to betray Christ as he did, even after seeing his righteous life on close quarters.
The news hit Nigeria’s social media outlets a few days of the sack of a pastor who had been in the paid employment of the Living Faith Churches led by David Oyedepo. The young man was employed in August last year and his appointment was terminated in July this year. After close to a year in the so called “commission”, Living Faith felt that they were running at a loss keeping him in their employment. He was being paid forty thousand naira and probably enjoyed some other employment packages like accommodation and so on. The church said that at this time he ought to be making at least as much as he was being paid. At least forty of these young pastors were laid off. The news is that other pastors are also being considered to be axed if they do not meet up to their given targets.
I request that you excuse a bit of my personal anecdotes – as this story hits a bit close to home for me. Again, a little less than a week ago I sat with a senior Christian sister and this dear saint told me that she agrees with me that there are some fundamental flaws in the ministries of persons like Oyedepo and even Adeboye. She however felt that publicly criticizing them, like I often do, will ridicule the Christian religion in public and give the enemies of Christ more reason not to be associated with the gospel. I sincerely couldn’t respond to her that day. Now I think I have a response. First, I’ll like to look at the matter of practical missions.
Practically speaking, Christian missions is a failed enterprise at the start. The Bible says that the message of the Cross is foolishness to the lost. The real success of a pastor in missions begins when he finds a few people who are ready to pay to him to minister the word of God to their souls. In other words the success of a pastor is not one that is easily measurable. It is mostly after years of ministry that the fruit of missions begin to show in converted sinners, changed lives and upright members. So a church has completely lost its vision that thinks that it can begin to measure fruit of ministry in less than a year of missions. Most of the missionaries that came to Africa, labored for years before they saw any convert. Yet they kept at it and today the continent has a thriving Christian population.
As to the person of David Oyedepo and his ministry, I have often remarked that there is very little Christianity in the Living Faith organizations. Oyedepo runs a business center and this recent event of placing pastors on financial targets is proof of that. Oyedepo and his types remain in ministry because people like my dear sister continue to lend legitimacy to their fraud. In my YouTube video, I argued that Oyedepo is not a false teacher because he does wrong things like this recent sack; he is false because he teaches doctrines that are antichrist. You may watch the video to learn more. As to whether my criticism lends arsenals to enemies of Christ: with or without my criticism of Oyedepo, Christ’s enemies will still blaspheme his name. Oyedepo’s very actions lend greater fuel to these blasphemies. I am convinced that by clearly stating Oyedepo is a fraud, I am helping a few people find discernment and stay away from churches like Living Faith. And it is not just Oyedepo, the hallmark of many churches today is to trample the weak. You are only given respect in these churches when you bring money. They treat their employees like garbage and they use people for their own gain.
The times are hard in Nigeria and evil continues to thrive. However it is when darkness envelopes a society that light has greater opportunity at displaying its glory. When government fails at providing jobs and social amenities, churches have the opportunity to stand in the gap by providing employment and helping with social net to curb the suffering of people. Whatever else you may say of Roman Catholics they are still one of the few Christian organizations that provide social safety nets for the ordinary people. Where unemployment thrives, David Oyedepo should not be populating the labor market because young men he brought into his organization are unable to meet financial targets. It is plain obscene to imagine Christians thinking this way. Perhaps we are this disappointed because we placed too much optimism on Oyedepo and the organization he runs.
I understand that the sack letter ended with good wishes. We should thank the Living Faith Church that while they do not have severance packages for their employees, they had some humanity to pray for their sacked employees and wish them well because that is what the Bible taught us to do: when the poor comes to you, pray for him and send him away empty handed (James 2:16). So much for what many regard as true Christianity in our day and time.
It is on this premise that I have long argued that David Oyedepo is not a Christian, the organization he runs is not a church and the spirit that rules that organization is not the Holy Spirit. Using the biblical yardstick and following the admonition of John the Apostle in 1 John 4:1, David Oyedepo is a false prophet.
This however does not leave the haters of religion and critics of Oyedepo the freedom to gloat and rejoice. The testimony of the Bible is that both hypocrites and haters of God shall spend their eternity without God and without his Christ. The gospel message to Oyedepo and to all haters of religion is: repent, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

I have had to think a lot about this subject. For those of you ready to hear the truth, it starts here at this 5 hour long video below. Try and digest it over a couple of days. Also pray the Holy Spirit interprets it you free of your own mind and prejudice. He will lead you to all truth, as AS IT IS WRITTEN.
So lets cover some truth. Truth is not opinion by the way. So lets start with obvious truth and then you can go back through your Bible and tie it all into Scripture. I refer to satan in the lower case intentionally by the way. I dont have issues with grammar.
Jesus Chris is the Son of God. The people that hated him the most and wanted him dead created more documentation about his life than anyone that ever lived at that time. So when people say “there is no proof of Jesus living”, that’s not true. The people that wanted him dead became his biographer. You cant make this stuff up. He did rise on the third day, this was also documented. He did ascend into Heaven. And yes he is the Messiah. He also performed miracles by the power given to him by the Father, God. Documented.
Miracles are still performed today. God calls for the church to cast out demons, heal the sick, spread the good news of the Gospel. Same today as 2 thousand years ago. Follow me here, this gets a little more interesting.
The Earth, our home, is run by the devil. Sorry, that’s how it works. Original sin, the sinful nature. Just do some reading.
the d man thought he would take over and he and a third of the angels got the boot. Part of the boot is they get to run amok until the thing we call the Tribulation. The end of the church age, which we are in. Then they get chained up in hell for a while and then they get some additional time to run amok and then they spend eternity in hell. Which is probably like New Jersey or DC.
Christ was born a man, through virgin birth. Not a hybrid, a man. This is a big deal. With God you will note blood atonement is essential and that of his son, a pure human was used to redeem us all. Part of the deal is we use our free will and become saved from spending time with thee d man and the fallen angels. Stay with me. That would be in hell.
Now for the big lie and how it works.
Even when you are saved and you are involved in sin, you become blinded to what is real and what is not. You have to have turned away from sin and you have to HATE sin and you have to be working on crucifying your flesh (the old man) and building your spirit man, for you to have the scales removed from your eyes. As in your spiritual gifts to work, for you to draw closer to God and he will draw closer to you. Its always been about sin. GOD HATES SIN. But he loves us.
How do I know this, because I have had my struggles just like you. And then one day I just screamed out how much I hated sin, feeling ashamed, always needing to ask for forgiveness like a little child instead of an adult. So in doing so God has partially unblinded me and allowed me to share my experiences so you can take the benefit of my pain and failures and try and bypass them.
So baby Christians, you don’t get to move up the ladder until you stop watching porn, stop being prideful, swearing, getting offended and playing around with the sin you still kind of like monkeying with. Take your bib off and make a choice. You probably think that you can’t. Guess what, you can’t if you aren’t sick of failing, aren’t sick of porn, masturbation, fornication, lying, swearing and being rebellious. You can’t even get delivered until you hate this stuff. So lets chat about deliverance.
Casting out demons is deliverance and yes Christians can have demons. Sorry, that’s just how it works, do your own studying. When you sin, you open the front door to THAT demon. You made and agreement when you sinned, that they could be in your head, in your life, talking to you trying to get you to do it more. You don’t want to but you just seem to love it too much. Then you finally come to a place where you realize that you can’t grow or be USEFUL to God until you start pushing back on sin. And then you ask God to get behind you and push. And yes, God can work with 2 billion or 200 billion of us at once.
He is a bullet, you are a turtle. He has capacity so stop trying to figure out “how can do God do that”, when you cant figure out how to stop swearing or gossiping. Work on you, let God be God.
In the Heaven(s) you have a whole bunch of fallen angels that want one thing, for everyone to check into motel hell with them when they go. So when you sin, the fallen send their workers, the demons to jump through the door you opened and get to work talking to you to sin. WHY, because when you sin, you get separated from God and they are very hopeful they can get you to decide God is not real. That Christianity is too hard, too much work. I just want my potty mouth and my porn back, is planted in your head.
Their bosses are the fallen angels. And they they bosses. They are set up like the military. Look up Bruce Hines and watch a couple of his videos and territorial angels Have you ever driven into a town and it just felt like you needed shower after you left. Just something about it just felt not right. Well that would be a town/city with lots and lots of sin. Sin is power and they send more demons with sin and they get people to drink, gamble, run around on their spouse, kill etc. WHEN YOU SIN you HAND THEM POWER. Just remember this. You know when you are sinning or have sinned, the Holy Spirit tells you. He’s not saying “bad dog”, he’s crying for you because you just handed the d man the right to have a fallen angel send demons to attack you through the big hole you just blew in the bottom of your own boat. Duh. God hates this because this is how this disgusting planet is set up. Imagine watching your kid on closed circuit rob a liquor store or smoke a crack rock. You are heart broken. God is our FATHER, not some stranger, he made us and for a reason. And he has all this hope and love for you and then you smoke a big crack rock (sin) and a fallen angel picks up his cell phone and sends a half dozen demons (tormentors) to torture you and convince you how fun sin is. Yeah, you are being manipulated by an army that YOU give control to.
You might be saying “yeah right”. Keep reading. And I mean your Bible. You are in a spiritual war you cannot see or feel because of your unrepentant sin. You are asleep like in the matrix. Time to wakey wakey, eggs and bakey. No more baby Christian. I can tell you that God is loving and charitable because if he even gets a whiff that you are trying, he sends in the army to help you. He WANTS you awake, he wants you FREE of the slavery sin. You are a slave to the DEVIL when you sin. The one who hates Jesus. He puts a dog chain around your next and tells you how cool stuff is related to sin. STOP.
So you are a Christian, you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and you are struggling with sin. You ask for forgiveness when you think about it, when you are not sinning. But at least you recognize this is necessary and you agree to repent but you just do the same stuff over and over. And you feel guilty, which you should. Bad bad! Repetitive sin. How fun. You have to ask for forgiveness every day if you are doing it every day. You have to take measures to change it. The biggest one is if you are a Christian, living with someone prior to marriage, because you think that if you are living together, she has your ring on, you are committed and you have an impending wedding, that its not fornication. DING DING, wrong, sorry.
Why is it sin you ask, let me tell you my friend. I couldn’t figure it out and kind of didn’t like being a serial sinner so I let that demon tell me, “fornication, thats when you run around and sleep with a bunch of different people you don’t know or care about. You love your fiance’, you guys are getting married, its all good”. When you hear that, that’s a demon. A real, actual demon. A spirit being without a body. And that smelly, nasty thing is their because you went to the front door, pulled your pants off, jumped in bed, had sex and he followed you right to the bedroom (picture of God doing face palm here).
So why I ask do I feel guilty. And the the Holy Spirit told me, “you are not in Covenant”. (Picture of me doing face palm here). Yes, God is a God of Covenants and commitments and until you enter into a Covenant, you are fornicating. Marriage is a Covenant with God, as well as the person you are marrying. So you are sinning until you are in Covenant.
How do we get rid of demons? That is through the deliverance process.
You are not eligible for deliverance if you are dealing with unforgiveness. Forgiveness is a decision, not a feeling. You decide to forgive and you speak it. Then you begin to pray for that person like everyday until you no longer feel like you are in a place of unforgiveness. But once you confess you forgive this person and you mean it, you can go through deliverance. You must renounce your sin, you must hate your sin and you must repent and you must have the heart of a repentant person that wants to be a new person.
The deliverance minister will do the rest during your deliverance ministry period. Read about it, its real, Jesus did it a lot. And remember, some demons only come out after fasting. Especially the ones that think they own you and dont want you to even know they are in you. The deliverance minister will deal with that.
He will also discuss family curses and you will need to confess whether you have ever had anything to do with the occult. That one is a big no no. Getting your palm read, games, astrology etc. Things you think are harmless are NOT. They have a frequency that attracts the critters. As a Christian it should put a check in your spirit. That check is not to be argued with, garbage time. Regardless of the cost, it gets burned or thrown in the garbage.
Okay, lots of information and I have some other stuff to do so I am going to get right to it. Truth is truth, like it or not. You cant see it until you ask for wisdom, knowledge and discernment and you got your little problem taken care of. When you sin, just take some vaseline and put it on your eyes. That’s what happens to your discernment when you sin. You are disconnecting from the father. Yikes.
So lets talk about the video like below. Its about the Mason’s as in Freemason’s. You know the Shriners that go to the children’s hospital, that ride the little cars in the parade, you know, those old guys. Those shriners became shriners by completing the 33 degrees of Freemasonry. Been around forever, bunch of old guys chanting acting stupid, probably just a drinking club. You think, my uncle was a Mason, or my Grandpa was a Mason. Sorry to tell you this but there is no Santa. Although not many are invited to join their Religion, they are in fact a recruiting and cloaking mechanism for a religion. People think they just build stuff, seems harmless. When they use the word craft you think of them building stuff. Craft in Freemasonry means witchcraft. Most people think witchcraft is fake. Sorry, it is definitely real. Its how really stupid people monkey with the evil side. The spirits and beings that run the world, which is the devil. So that’s like the hotline. And the hotline has some really hot chicks on the other side with some really sweet words. You hear “he probably sold his soul to the devil”. That happens to be real and it is made to sound ridiculous. Wait until you see this video. We all think the church of satan is a bunch of wack jobs wearing holloween gear playing in Tyrone’s mom’s basement the last Thursday of the month. No, they actually have been tricked into believing that the devil is light, Jesus is the dark, you will have fame and fortune and you work for me and I get your soul. Not sure what else they hear but they sign up quick when their friends tell them to. It’s like some Amway except you dont have to sell anything except your soul and you get all the fame and money you could ever want. Then you die and you find out you are in hell. And then you are like, but we had a deal. Yeah, the devil is a liar, hence he’s the devil. This group believes that if you are not part of our group, which by the way is most of the people in power AKA the deep state, you need to die. If you are a Christian, you are hated.
They also laugh at atheist’s, considering them the dumb of the dumb. Oh, by the way, Charles Darwin was not an atheist, he was a Mason and deeply involved in the satanic church. Hated God. Someone he spent a lot of time trying to convince everyone, that he didn’t exist.
Now to finish with David Oyedepo. Do your homework. Their are accounts of him doing deals with the occult for land. This could be a trick of the devil to discredit him for all I know. But what I do know is that he fired a big group of people he called “pastors”, because they couldn’t raise enough money to cover their salary. I think it said 40K Naira. That’s 97 US dollars by the way, so that is likely monthly. So I can’t bear witness to the man, only can look at the works and what the Bible says. The Freemason’s have an entire Christian cloaking around the church of satan.
Pastors that you see becoming insanely rich flying around in two or three jets are not good stewards of money. Pastors that accumulate millions and millions of dollars and fire people making 97 dollars a month, does not really square with me.
What I can tell you is that I work with very wealthy people on a day to day personal level. Not a single one of them, that I can tell, has salvation. NOT ONE SINGLE ONE. Nothing is more powerful than the deceit of wealth and power. And if you don’t have Salvation, you will fall for this trick every time.
If you ever wonder why people around you prosper while you struggle, remember, the steps of a blessed man are ordered.
I have prayed “please father, don’t give me anything that will separate me from you”. This is my admission that with wealth comes something that consumes people and then they are lost. Its as if they are simply gone one day. Never to return.
